As the official hotel of the NFL, Courtyard by Marriott set out to do more than just share the Super Bowl 50 spotlight. But in a media environment already packed with brands, they needed more than sideline signage—they needed a fan-fueled moment that would break through the noise.
Enter: the Courtyard Super Bowl Sleepover Suite, a once-in-a-lifetime experience inside Levi’s Stadium. We helped concept and launch a full-funnel activation centered around a nationwide contest. Fans entered via social media for the chance to sleep in a custom-built suite right on the field the night before the Big Game.
The campaign paired viral content with exclusive NFL access, giving fans a dream night and Marriott Rewards (now Bonvoy) members a reason to engage. After the winner’s epic sleepover, the suite was flipped to host VIPs on game day, maximizing the activation’s lifecycle.
From digital buzz to IRL wow-factor, the program delivered press-worthy storytelling, authentic fan engagement, and executive-level hospitality—earning Courtyard an EX Award nod for Best Event on a Budget ($500K to $1M).
